Saint Joachim is in Christianity the husband of Saint Anna, the father of the Mother of God, the grandfather of Jesus Christ. The Orthodox Church ranks Joachim among the Godfathers. Commemoration takes place in the Orthodox Church on September 9, in the Catholic Church on July 26
