In the 10th chapter of the Gospel of Luke, it is told how Martha, who accepted Christ into her house and took care of His food, reproached her sister for not helping her, but listening to Him. To this Christ replied to her: "Martha! Martha! You care and fuss about many things, but only one thing is needed; Mary chose a good part that will not be taken away from her" (Luke 10: 41–42). These words of Christ indicate to us that we should prefer the life of the soul, spiritual interests to everything else.
