The plot is taken from the Revelation of John the Theologian, 3:20: Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and I will sup with him, and he with Me. So, the long-suffering Lord Jesus Christ knocks at the door of our heart, and waits for us to repent and open to him
