The Entombment is the funeral by the disciples of the body of Jesus Christ after his death on the cross, described in the Gospels, on the evening of Good Friday. The episode belongs to the Passion of Christ, follows the Lamentation of Christ and immediately precedes the scene of the discovery of an empty grave, that is, it is the last moment in which the earthly body of Jesus still appears.
