Alexandra Ankirskaya (Corinthian) is a holy martyr, one of seven Christians who were government-run for their faith in Christ in the city of Ankyra at the beginning of the 4th century. The ruler of the city, the pagan Theotechnos, was distinguished by special cruelty in the fight against Christianity. After Alexandra's firm refusal to recognize the pagan gods, she was brutally tortured, and then drowned in the lake along with other Ankyrian martyrs
