Hegumen, companion of the Monk Euthymius the Great. Together with him he asceticised in the Faransk monastery, then for great exploits the saints retired to the Kutilly desert, where they spent time in fasting and prayer in a cave. But soon their holy life became known, and lovers of monastic life began to flock to them. Thus was formed the Kinovia, where the Monk Euthymius appointed the Monk Theoctistus as the spiritual leader. After many labors and labors, the Monk Theoktist died on September 3, 467.
