The Hieromartyr Theodosius of Brazsky was born in the first half of the 17th century near the Brazsky monastery into the family of the Rezesh (patrimonials) of the holy governor Stephen the Great. At the age of 18, he entered the monastic brethren of that monastery. Received monasticism in the Bogdan Monastery (in the present Bakausky county)
