An indestructible wall is a special epithet assigned, as a rule, to images of Our Lady of Oranta; borrowed from the akathist of the Mother of God. In the St. Sophia Cathedral in Kiev, under the arch of a mountain place, there is a mosaic image of the Mother of God, which received the name "Indestructible Wall"
