The Monk Martyr Alexandra (Kasparova) was born in 1882. On February 18, 1942, a 60-year-old novice suffered at the hands of a godless government, thereby being vouchsafed to receive the martyr's crown. She is canonized by the decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on December 26, 2006.
