The Icon of the Mother of God “Seeking the Lost” is an Orthodox icon of the Most Holy Theotokos. The creation of the image dates back to the 17th century. The name of the icon arose under the influence of the story "On the repentance of Theophilus, the housekeeper of the church in the city of Adana": praying before the image of the Mother of God, Theophilus called it "The Seeking of the Perished"
